CAREER FIREFIGHTER/ EMT
The Franktown Fire Protection District is establishing a hiring eligibility list for the position of Career Firefighter/EMT. We seek dedicated professionals committed to excellence, public service, and the highest standards of emergency medical care.
This eligibility list will be utilized to fill immediate vacancies and future staffing needs as determined by the District Fire Chief.

Core Responsibilities​​

Emergency Response: Deliver Basic Life Support (BLS) and comprehensive emergency medical care.

Fire Suppression: Execute firefighting operations, technical rescue, and hazardous materials response.

Readiness: Maintain proficiency through rigorous ongoing training, drills, and equipment maintenance.

Community Engagement: Support fire prevention initiatives and public outreach programs.
Candidate Requirements​

Age & Citizenship: Minimum 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship required.

Licensure: Valid Driver’s License and high school diploma (or GED).

Clinical Certifications: Current NREMT or Colorado State EMT certification, BLS, and AHA CPR.

Physical Standards: Valid CPAT or successful completion of the FFPD internal physical agility test.

Background: Successful completion of a criminal history review and medical evaluation.

Testing: Completion of the NTN FireTEAM exam and Public Safety Self-Assessment (PSSA).
Preferred Qualifications: Colorado Firefighter I and Hazardous Materials Operations certifications.
